Why aren't Australian Standards/building codes etc available on the net? As taxpayers, we should expect this. Unfortunately, they are currently only available if you are willing to pay exorbitant prices. Keeps us poor punters in mushroom land Hi Zeke - your State Library should have access to the Australian Standards database called Standards Australia by SAI Global. You can either go into your library and ask someone to show you how to access it or if you are looking for a particular part of a standard you can lodge an enquiry with your state library's online form and a librarian will go away and find what you are after and send it to you - free!!!! I know here in QLD you can have 6 x 2 hr free sessions per calendar year... not sure what state you are in? (can you tell I'm a librarian?!)... PM if you are looking for something i particular and I can take a peek for you... Alternatively, you should be able to access the BSA's volumes on Building codes/standards. I know we have it in hard copy and also an online version.
