The inclusions are really good, and any upgrades you arent charged a fortune (9ft celings ect). Renae Re: Building in Caloundra - help choosing between 4 builders! 16May 28, 2009 11:07 am thanks guys. another strike against Brad Mac.... we were in a display at north lakes on the weekend, got salesman details and emailed list of questions and request for quote... didn't hear anything back .. called the guy yesterday... he no longer works for Brad Mac... GREAT. Almost forgot about Reef Homes. we had heard about them, and did contact them, but they didn't have any displays. We really like to walk through and see an example building to get a feel for the builder and plan.. but i'll see if they can arrange a walk through one of their current buildings this weekend. Re: Building in Caloundra - help choosing between 4 builders! 17May 28, 2009 11:46 am They did have a couple of specs in Pelican Waters, I know one has been sold, not sure on the other. I also had hesitations about not having a display home, but I spoke with Peter and Michelle about every problem/concern I had and they answered it with clear and honest answers and thats all you can really hope for. Renae Re: Building in Caloundra - help choosing between 4 builders! 18May 28, 2009 7:03 pm I know that Grandview are very good. Our friends neighbours built with them (at Glasshouse) had no delays and no problems. We also looked at them for our build and the salesmen were v.good, but we just couldnt get their plans to work on our block. I have heard on the grapevine that Brad Mclaughlan isnt so good, but I dont know from experience. Problems ive heard were with tiles being wrong ones and they refused to replace, but as I said I dont know this from experience so it may not have been as bad as they made it out to be! I dont know much about the others you have mentioned. Re: Building in Caloundra - help choosing between 4 builders! 19May 28, 2009 8:56 pm Hi simo_b, We spent ages comparing builders on the sunny coast. We had narrowed it down to stylemaster but decided to go with a smaller builder at the last minute. Stylemaster worked out the best value - was going to cost us less for a bigger home than the other builders we looked at. The sales guy was great! I was just a bit worried about all the extra things that they didn't include (this is with most project builders though) and how much it would add up. Adenbrook worked out quite expensive but they do have a great build time. My parents built with Brad M and had a very bad experience with follow-up service - things that went wrong and they wouldn't come back and fix it and cheap fixtures - but that was 4 or 5 years ago. Found that GJ became quite expensive once I added on all the extras we wanted... Best of luck with the process. =) Re: Building in Caloundra - help choosing between 4 builders! 20May 28, 2009 10:04 pm mellybuilding yeah grandview dont have a website. I think they have display homes in sippy downs! Bellflower has Adenbrook, PJB, Grandview, DQH, Coral, Grandview, McCarthy, M under construction/planned. probably be 6 months before it is all completed. atm the Adenbrook and DQH are well progressed. ’’Quondo Omni Flunkus Mortati ’’ If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
