Brickies told me that there is not much job around...hope you can be in by Christmas! Builder: celebration homes,WA Slab down:12-Aug-09 Plate High:21-Sep-09 roof complete : 22-Oct-09 lockup: 19-Nov-09 PCI : 16-Dec-09 Key handover : 22-Dec-09 Re: Blue's house in Yanchep 83Oct 07, 2009 12:02 am Long time no write everyone! My blog gets updated regularly though LOL We are up to the roof now. So basically the whole of September they built our house, hopefully lock up is just around the corner. Finally got our surplus from the FHOG, we had to 'formally request' it from the bank after being told it would be an automatic thing...*sigh* at least we have it now. Nothing much else to report, trying to decide when we would move to Perth and have looked at the FHOG website and as long as we're in before the 12 months are up (from when the house is officially finished) for 6 continuous months, we'll be fine. So that means we could still stay out here another year maybe. Re: Blue's house in Yanchep 89Oct 08, 2009 11:35 am Just a quick question, how often do any of you speak to your CRO? As we have had one phone call from ours and that was a few weeks before the slab was put down (so sometime in August). As we have had one phone call from ours and that was a few weeks before the slab was put down (so sometime in August). To be honest... i've initially all contact with my CSO But thats pretty much only because i'm pretty quick off the mark. Like yesterday with the slab, once I knew it had been laid i emailed her straight away (and she got back to me pretty quickly too with an update on what is happening next - even mentioned that i'd be receiving the painful bill shortly LOL). But she's been very helpful and has answered all of my questions ver quickly (and nicely too!!) viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. As we have had one phone call from ours and that was a few weeks before the slab was put down (so sometime in August). Mine rang over 4 weeks ago and said its all starting etc etc and that she would be in contact fortnightly by email for updates. Heard nothing since lol.. typical. Would not even know I had anything happened if some good people hadn't taken pics for me on their way past. Kat Re: Blue's house in Yanchep 93Oct 08, 2009 12:08 pm Kat - Miss crow lives down from where we're building and if it wasn't for her checking on our place on a regular basis, we would have no idea what was going on (aside from a letter every now and then asking for money from the builder LOL) Wondering if I should email our 'lady' person and see how things are...I would have thought the shingles would be on the roof or at least delivered by now. Lynne - yeah! I think it's fabbo, hubby is thinking it may be on the small side but then again, he thinks the whole house is on the small side. The pantry is going to have four shelves the whole length and then at the end, thinking perhaps we may have to remove the end ones to put the freezer in there, but may put the freezer in the garage. Hmmm... All these things that we haven't thought of yet. LOL Still haven't had a call back from the woman who called us about the Velocity package. There was a big confusion, as we have paid $1200 to our builder to have it done, but this woman called saying we'd have to pay more $$ for them to do it...very confusing. Ahh well. Oh and I sent off the forms and our plans for the fencing. They say to send it off 8 weeks before lock-up. Unsure of when that is, so I rang the fence people and they said to send it off now (a week or so ago this was) and that fences would be up in 3-4 weeks. But that won't be able to happen if the roof isn't on LOL Ok, hungry baby calling me. Seeya! Would not even know I had anything happened if some good people hadn't taken pics for me on their way past. Kat We got our first email from our CLO last Friday. It told us that we now had a slab, and bricks should be delivered that day. However, she couldn't tell us yet when our brickies would be on site, and hopefully that'd be in the next update. The email arrived the day our bricking started. We now have almost all the external bricks up, but no further update from the CLO.
