What is that for?? lol well, it started out as a TV recess on the plans and hopefully somehow it will still end up being one! (I think someone missed that little note and thought it must be a window!) Re: Progress! - ... 86Sep 16, 2009 10:42 pm ^^ AAaahhhh!! I thought it either had to be a tv thingo or maybe one of those inset wall things that some people have. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. They've installed our solid blackbutt timber flooring and today they started putting up our new bricks. They look much better than I was anticipating! The view is to die for, the plans are gorgeous, your colour selections are great and the decking and flooring i looovvveeee. I cant wait to see what the kitchen looks like when finished, esp the splashback using those larger tiles, i think thats what i will have to use as glass is prob going to be way to expensive for me! Cant wait to see more pics.... V Re: Progress! - BRICKS!... again! 95Oct 03, 2009 10:25 pm So glad things are moving properly for you now!!! We're home!!! We're so excited about the whole thing again. For a while there, we didn't think it was ever going to get finished and now we're not sure if we have enough time to get everything done that needs to be done before we get to move in! We changed our carpet choice... the owner of the shop called our builder with a special. We were going to get a carpet made out of acrylic fibers at $150/sqm, but he got an 80% wool blend carpet with a minor defect (so minor I couldnt see what it was!). The original price was $350ish and we're getting it for what we were going to pay for the acrylic Needless to say, I am SO pleased! They've done the first round of painting this past week, the kitchen is supposed to arrive on Tuesday and will be installed on Thursday, and on 14 October they are supposed to come in to sand the floors. And we've been told that it should be ready to move in about a week after that!! I will most certainly post more pics as soon as something new happens, I can't wait for the kitchen, I'm a bit nervous about how it will all look together and how the splashback tile will turn out. It's a sculptured carpet so if you can imagine it, the dark grey parts are raised. It's all the same color, I just used 2 different colors to show what the pattern is.
