They started clearing the block this morning, my DH went out early this afternoon to have a look and discovered they had been clearing the WRONG block! Unfortunately, they were half way done with it before the discovery, and when I got off work and went out to see if they had done anything to our block, they had just finished. They must have decided to just finish the other one because there was nothing left but one tree lol Anyway, here's an update Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Progress! - Land Cleared - 15/06/09 4Jun 15, 2009 10:40 pm omg will your neighbour be cranky? very pretty block BTW 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Progress! - Land Cleared - 15/06/09 5Jun 16, 2009 9:41 am Building with Coral 2009 omg will your neighbour be cranky? very pretty block BTW I dont know what will happen now, I'm not sure who's going to have to wear the cost of it. But if it was ME that owned the block, i would be thinking that it wouldnt be me paying for it! And thanks, it is a pretty block. There's a reserve and a cemetary back there so I dont think it'll ever be built on, which is lucky for us... and the "neighbors" are very quiet! Re: Progress! - House Pegged - 16/06/09 6Jun 16, 2009 1:22 pm We're Pegged! I didnt quite expect to see anything done today as it started raining fairly early, but someone got stuck right into it this morning Re: Progress! - House Pegged - 16/06/09 7Jun 16, 2009 4:21 pm What was the reaction on their face when you told them? I imagine they will just have to write it off somehow as it was their mistake . . . how much is it costing to have your block cleared? Really nice looking bit of land you've got yourself there! Re: Progress! - House Pegged - 16/06/09 8Jun 16, 2009 4:27 pm Unfortunately, I was at work so I didnt get to see. It was just an "oh shhhiii...." moment for my husband before he called our SS and explained what was happening lol. He left it for the SS to tell the poor guy that he was digging up the wrong trees... Sorry Pebble, I didnt mean to ignore your question It cost us just under 4k to have the block cleared of trees (741 sqm), and they'll come back and cut them when things have dried up a bit... it has rained almost every day since the trees came down... On a happier note, he told us they are hoping to start on friday and that they should be bricking by next week Re: Progress! - Land Cleared - 15/06/09 10Jun 23, 2009 6:14 pm D&SG There's a reserve and a cemetary back there... and the "neighbors" are very quiet Re: Progress! - House Pegged - 16/06/09 11Jun 23, 2009 6:17 pm Thank you! The street is a "No Through" road too, so thats almost as nice as a neighbors on the other side of the reserve Re: Progress! - House Pegged - 16/06/09 12Jun 27, 2009 7:20 pm Re: Progress! - Fences and Trenches! - 27/06/09 13Jun 27, 2009 7:31 pm Wow your block is awesome! The house will get to take full advantage of that view to the back and it also faces to the north/northeast, so we're pretty stoked about the whole thing!
