Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 21, 2009 8:53 pm Hey All, After all most one year of organising, freaking out and WAITING - I got an email from my builders today advising me that they are starting on site TOMORROW - however after work my partner and I went to check the block and found that the surveyor (private surveyor we hired) hasn't put the pegs in yet - so we have two fences and a front peg where there is no fence but no other pegs!! The pegs were meant to go in this week tomorrow being the cut off date... This was a huge low for us as we realised they are unlikely to start tomorrow - can anyone confirm our suspicions the builders are unlikely to start with two fences and one peg are they?? Cheers Bec Re: The ups and downs of building - almost beginning 3May 22, 2009 2:28 pm Thanks Megzy for your kind words. Re: The ups and downs of building - almost beginning 4May 22, 2009 3:09 pm A couple days for the slab to be poured. From what I've seen its about a day for the pipes. a day to box up the slab and a day for the slab to be poured. Then 1 - 4 weeks after that they start with the frame. ---------------------------------------- Building the PD Lisbon 24 http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#homeviewer/lisbon/24 Blog of our progress. http://lisbon24.blogspot.com/ Homeone build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28665 I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home.
