He's not The plasterboard will be started on Thursday, so that only leaves Wednesday to get it done. Does anyone know of someone on the north shore in Sydney who might want the job? Alternatively, how hard + complicated is it to do yourself (it would only be me)? If your installer turns up then thanks your lucky stars, if not, at least you've got some / most of it out of the way. We where told the builders need 1 full day to install insulation. So I'd suggest you start with the main areas you want covered first. ie. Any one can buy a few bags of insulation material from Bunnings, month mask, a long stick with nail/hook attached to one end, hammer, some nails and long strings to hold the materials, and that's about it. But there's also the dark side about DIY before plaster walls started: health/safety concern, insurance if anything goes wrong, site supervisor has every right to kick you out, how do you know if the areas near power points/eletrical stuffs been installed correctly, ....etc. Also have a look at this post my blog below, if the brick cleaner were arranged before some ceiling/wall not completed, it might be a disaster.
