Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 19, 2009 8:37 pm We signed our contract and plans with goodlife just over a week ago and they booked our colour meeting this Friday We received a letter today stating that we cannot make any structural changes at prestart due to delays with councils and developers. The examples of structural changes they gave were : window size, ceiling height,garage opening height, roof type change (colourbond/tiles), set backs and front elevations. I would think that you would need to get your changes with the windows done before signing the prelim plans and contract. If you make any structural changes once you have your CC, you will have to apply to council again to approve the changes. It's a pain, really. Best to take the time now and get it right beforehand.
