Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 19, 2009 8:41 am Have just been notified by my builder that we are at lock up stage , I am arranging for a inspector to come onsite to have a look at it , but just for my understanding can someone tell me exactly what work need to be completed for the house to have reached lock up stage , does it mean all door ,wall and roof tiles have been installed? Is there any other work that is included in the lock up stage. Re: LOCK UP STAGE- 6May 19, 2009 1:24 pm House is weatherproof. Roof, external walls, external doors and windows are all on. That's lock up. 1 4695 Not unless you have managed to put it as a special condition into the contract somehow. 1 6155 The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn.
