I can't picture the way the kitchen used to be because your re-design works so well. Jess - love the changes you made. Makes it very liveable. Judie Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 5May 17, 2009 3:55 pm We went with our own plan due to the odd shape of our block, end block in a court. The garage was 'bent' out to best suit our block and this enabled a store room and powder room to be added to the plan. I have included the plan and the site plan. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff245/rebel_radar/plan-1.jpg http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff245/rebel_radar/siteplan.jpg Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 6May 17, 2009 3:57 pm We looked at lot of different plans from different builders and found some that we really liked, but they just weren't quite what we wanted so we decided to design our own. This is what we came up with and with the exception of adding a door to the master bed ensuite and doors to the study, we wont be making any changes. -S Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 7May 17, 2009 5:18 pm Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 8May 17, 2009 5:37 pm Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 10May 17, 2009 6:00 pm this is such a great thread i always like seeing everyone's ideas
i search all the threads just to see the plans of other people homes. i would love to hear what people think its on a 18m x 32 m block so we will have about 2.5m on the garage side for our camper trailer. Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 11May 17, 2009 6:02 pm Rachelle bigred, your plans are hiliarious!! I got a great laugh from them, too Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 12May 17, 2009 6:12 pm At one stage we had a 50 m long x 14 m wide block on a hill which overlooked a creek and the You Yangs at the front...first draft idea of a house design to make use of the deep backyard and views from the master bedroom...we came to our senses and bought established...(it's a borrowed and modified design)...windows and doors and missing and there's probably some fundamental "issues"... Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 15May 17, 2009 6:58 pm Hi Chris82, I'd have the entry door to the WIR in the master suite coming direct from the master suite, not via the ensuite. Also is there enough room to walk in between the bath and vanities? Love the rest of the layout Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 16May 17, 2009 7:18 pm Quote: Hi Chris82, I'd have the entry door to the WIR in the master suite coming direct from the master suite, not via the ensuite. Love the rest of the layout the plan has only one sink but i added the second it should fit its just my vanity is not to scale Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 17May 17, 2009 7:31 pm kek Bigred, are you sure you have enough bars? I think maybe you overlooked a couple of spots you could put one... Hey Kek, There were some additional locations for bars; however, I felt that I didn't want to saturate the house with them. It's important to atleast have 2 bars per house, as often you have guests over who are both female and male. You want to split up the genders, so the guys don't have to hear about makeup, and the girls don't have to hear about..well, you know. That's the main reason for the two bars. The Garage Bar is probably the more male orientated area, with the LCD for sports and what not. The Alfreso Bar is more for the BBQs and big dinners. The only major design flaw with it all is that the pool table is quite a walk from the The Garage bar, so I'm looking at putting a sliding door on the left of the pool table room out to the decking near The Garage. This will make the distance from The Garage couch to the pool room 12.58m, whereas at the moment it is 25.93m. That's almost half the distance, so it really does need rectifying. Cheers, Big Red Re: THE HOUSE PLAN THREAD 18May 17, 2009 8:23 pm bigred kek Bigred, are you sure you have enough bars? I think maybe you overlooked a couple of spots you could put one...
