Update your thread as well! Serge - are your cornices up as well already? Did your SS explain why there was a lull? It's just odd sometimes why nothing happens. Also very frustrating! We got a call today saying our plaster goes up mid week so really from having our slab laid on June5th to rendered/painted/plastered this week is pretty quick - just on 2 months. Did your SS give you an exptected rough handover date or timeframe yet? Surely you must be over the halfway mark! yay! I would punt end Sept if your lucky, early Oct at the latest. From cornice, expect the kitchen!, then they will start your internal fixout, so doors and mouldings will arrive very soon, usually takes 3-4 days. Waterproofing can be either before or after the fixout. Tiler normally is next if available otherwise the painter, but tiling and painting normally about a week each. The the fun starts with your fit offs, plumbing first with the sparky next, about a week for the both of them. From when i was supervising i would set a handover 2-3 weeks from when the electrician was finished. Add a week if you have floor coverings. Good luck. We are building with Plantation in North Lakes and we are now at lock up as well. The sparky and the plumber are booked in for the end of the week and by wed week our SS is going to discuss handover date. That makes our build just shy of 4 months which is pretty good for a two storey house. We have been pretty happy with our build and our SS is doing a great job. We are building the kiara. Re: Introducing the Stila BK1 - Verve (Plantation) 97Sep 01, 2009 8:19 pm meeting with the tiler & SS later this week, chippy likely to be finished the skirting tomorrow (judging by the nail gun going off this arvo). everything's going smoothy. any pics of the kiara? ’’Quondo Omni Flunkus Mortati ’’ If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy. I do have photos of the outside but It was about a month ago, before the front door went in. Will probably get a better pic when most of the rubbish and port-a-loo disappears from the front yard.lol The kiara was the only highset from plantation that could fit on our small land. We had slab down end of may and should be finished by end of sept. fingers and toes crossed.
