Hi Everyone,
We are about to lock in our colours and we've started to double guess ourselves in a lot of things, one of them being the kitchen island sides.
We are about to start a house that has a kitchen bench just like the one below (actually, this is the same house but someone else's - one of the sales assistants took us through as our house is not on display) and so far we will be having white poly cupboards at the bottom and Smoky Sapelle for the overhead cupboards and the barback of the island.
Splashback and smoky sapelle colours below
The top is Caesarstone Osprey, now we weren't going to do the waterfall edge as we didn't want that much Caesarstone (and the price too of course) and also so we could have the nice whity poly on the sides and be able to put a powerpoint on the side of the island.
Everyone in the forum seem to have gone with the waterfall... but will this kitchen look bad without it? it would look like the pic above but the barback darker matching the overhead cupboards and the poly sides would stick a bit past the barback so it doesn't look funny where the two colours meet (not sure if I have explained this well enough but not sure how else to explain it ).
Ok, I guess the question is - waterfall edge or not? and would it look ok without it? any opinions/comments welcome! Thanx
