Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 12, 2009 3:13 pm Anyone had anything to do with them? I need a colour that is close to Woodland Grey in the Caper. Their site is pretty slack with colours. Thanks….. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Monier Roof Tiles 2May 12, 2009 3:18 pm We use Monier with PD. I'm not sure I understand. Caper is actually a colour, it's available in a few of their ranges. I have the brochure in front of me. Which profile are you looking at? I'd say Caper or Barramundi would be the best colour match to Woodland Grey. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Monier Roof Tiles 6May 12, 2009 5:16 pm Hi Michelle, if you want closest to Woodland Grey, it would be Barramundi (we were told it is also equivalent to Boral Gunmetal). The caper is beautiful but comes up a LOT darker in the brochure than in real life, in reality it is more of a lighter green/grey. We are going with Horizon (flat) profile in Barramundi with Woodland Grey gutters. buzz Re: Monier Roof Tiles 7May 12, 2009 5:22 pm Thanks for that Buzz!!!! I’ll get onto my client about that. Hmm... not sure. Every builder is different. I think they are the same category with my builder. We were just told that standard inclusion for our home is "flat profile roof tiles from Boral or Monier" , I know the horizon ones had all colours as standard for us, so that's where I put all my attention. Who are you building with? Maybe others who have the same builder could advise. buzz Re: Monier Roof Tiles 10May 12, 2009 7:47 pm jayR Hi Buzz Do you know if Horizon is the same category as the Traditional? thanks JR Horizon and Traditional are not standard with my builder. Only Elabana is. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Only Elabana is. And the Elabana is great! So is the colour Barramundi! 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' I wouldn't say it's close to Woodland Grey really - our fences and rainwater tank are WG and the colour is quite different. Similar in terms of depth of colour though, I suppose. This is how it looks on an overcast day: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And those tiles were some serious upgrade with our builder.....only category 2, but over $5500 extra. Re: Monier Roof Tiles 13May 12, 2009 10:53 pm ok now im worried... i was going to go with the caper roof tiles with woodland grey gutters and woodland grey or dune fascia - my house will fully rendered and i was considering dune or perhaps a creamier or slightly beiger colour - will these colours look ok or will the caper roof tiles come up way too light? does anyone have any pics of the caper roof tiles? thanks 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Monier Roof Tiles 14May 13, 2009 5:14 pm Building with Coral 2009 ok now im worried... i was going to go with the caper roof tiles with woodland grey gutters and woodland grey or dune fascia - my house will fully rendered and i was considering dune or perhaps a creamier or slightly beiger colour - will these colours look ok or will the caper roof tiles come up way too light? does anyone have any pics of the caper roof tiles? thanks Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Monier Roof Tiles 15May 13, 2009 7:09 pm I would strongly suggest that you get samples of the tiles and the colorbond before you make the final decision. Going by colours in brochures or on the Internet is out of the question as they are way out. Even colours of colorbond that I have seen in official paint charts look different to the actual metal. Re: Monier Roof Tiles 16May 13, 2009 7:21 pm Client has ordered a roof tile from Monier, Caper…..hopefully it will be here soon! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Monier Roof Tiles 17May 13, 2009 8:16 pm The first pic - tile in the middle of the five is Monier Caper (sorry, not sure what the others are, didn't take note) This pic - 2nd one along is Barramundi (again, didn't take note of what the others are, sorry!) Not sure if these help or hinder?? Edited to say: The tile place designer did say that Barramundi was their best match to Woodland Grey.. We are going with Boral Gunmetal which seems very close to Barramundi in colour... It will look great with the caper I reckon! The gutter/fascia may come up a bit darker than the roof, but even when people have a Woodland Grey roof and gutter/fascia the gutter/fascia looks darker than the roof because of the angle.
