Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 11, 2009 6:30 pm Whoo hoo we had our colour selection last week. Is it normal to change your mind after Below are the colours we have choosen so far but maybe subject to change. We are building (hopefully) with Simonds Homes. We are still waiting on the final fixed contract. We have had some ups and downs with pricing and customer service as usual. One major problem was when the Estimator got our pricing wrong; they charged us for a H class slab when the soil report stated they we only require a M Class. So now our contract is be looked over again to make sure there isn't any more mistakes. Now I haven't put a picture of our block as I gather they all look pretty much the same. But is its a 816sqm block (30.72m X 26.75m). I will try and keep you updated with out building process( if we ever get there ). Please feel free to express any of your thoughts. Main colours throughout Internals Ceiling /Cornice – Builders White Walls - Canvas White Skirting / Architrave – Canvas White Windows / Reveals / Frames - Paperpark Doors – Canvas White Flooring Carpet – Medium Brown Tiles or Vinyl – Decision made later Externals Bricks - Latte Roof – Ironstone (Colorbond) Gutters – Ironstone Fascia - Ironstone Downpipes - Ironstone Eaves - Paperbark Windows - Paperbark Doors - Paperbark Re: Now I feel like we are getting somewhere!!!! 2May 11, 2009 7:06 pm Focus06 Now I haven't put a picture of our block as I gather they all look pretty much the same. We both prefer it to be mainly white. We like sticking to the neutral colours. Our carpet is like a medium brown though so this should break it up a bit.
