They just seem to be so busy it's ridiculous. Now that they have extended the grant to $32K for 3 months I will be making them wait. They can now see how it feels to be stuffed around. That is outrageous. It is almost worth getting another builder to see if they can get to contract before the other one. Race them off against each other. Sure, it loses you the $1000 deposit, but you can negotiate on price. I have seriously considered this at least 5 times, but didn't go ahead due to the June 30 deadline. I reckon a keen builder might even waive the upfront deposit just to get in the race. In my business we don't get any deposits and always have 2 or 3 other companies competing for the business. Seems crazy to me that this isn't an option in the building industry. Was charged for a P class slab not too sure of all the details but came in under $10000 which is what we budgeted. So very happy now just waiting until July 1st to sign the contract and then finance is the next stress with the banks cracking down. You talk about deletions, are they variations or PS and PC adjustments? pleas list them 1 16556 A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor. This form part of every DA requirement 3 223606 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO.
