Fingers crossed for Friday but it's not looking particularly good. Hopefully your block drains easily. This down-pour does not sing 'slab-on-Friday' to me /quote] G'day Sizz, I just went for a drive around.. PO/Edmund St (West) is almost flooded right over as of tonight. It's worsened in the hour since we went out. There is a lot of rain on the roads and most of the blocks are swimming pools. With yours, it looked relatively clear - but I struggled to see in. The amount of water around - and the forecast, isn't promising. But to give you a brighter picture - our slab went down during the massive rains in winter and all they needed was 1 clear day, they drained the water and got started. It's actually better for concrete slabs to dry extremely slowly. All the rabbit "give ups" (warrens they tried to dig, then gave up because they hit solid clay) are full and our backyard is very wet. I'm getting a very clear picture of where to put the drainage, rocks and sand. Hope that Friday improves dramatically, for your slab and also for jabblo's move. I'll try to post some pics when I get up, if vodafone lets me! CDandRB have built: Victory 1500 (Boardwalk) in Devonia Park, Pakenham. We get a move in date on Friday, so I'm hoping to get thing organised for next year when we move in. Thanks Re: Devonia Park at Lakeside Pakenham 749Dec 16, 2010 8:28 am Hi Bella83 Open Networks handles the fibre in Lakeside Pakenham. This is the link to their site http://www.openetworks.com.au/Communiti ... fault.aspx We aren't in yet but our builder has run the cabling through our house and put in the HDC & CTC cabinets. We've done the initial paperwork with Open Networks and when the cabling is finalised the cabler has to do some additional paperwork. From what I've heard Open Networks aren't particularly fast so don't leave it until the last minute. I was thinking about putting out some redwood or something, then filling in the rest with top soil. We only have a small block, what's everyone else doing? Bought DS a new phone / GPS which is Optus. Wondering whether to keep going with Optus or pay to change to another provider. Will try Optus and see how we go.
