There is one thing that keeps bugging me I have ask a couple of times now to have the entrance to the rumpus room opened right up. Eventually I will put in some bifold doors...or something similar that would fit the space or just leave it open. But I've just notice that over the last couple of plans its only opened up a tiny bit. Do you think there is a reason they haven't done what I've asked? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Do you think I should keep the entrance the way it is, or ask again for that to be opened up? Thanks everyone. I'm hoping I'll be signing my contract in about 2-3 weeks and we'll start as soon as the land titles. Which is now 8 weeks overdue! If you open it up any more, you'll have your table in the meals area in the middle of the opening. At least where it is now, it backs onto a wall. Blog is now up - http://www.jbdave.blogspot.com/ Re: Need advice on this house plan - updated plan 45Jul 20, 2009 5:55 pm I'm planning on just having a dining table smack bang in the middle of the family/meals room. Its not big enough to do anything else with really. So it won't be in that corner anyway Deposits paid 29/4/09 Land settlement 12/08/09 Build contract signed 24/08/09 Colours done 28/09/09 BLOG-http://www.eljaysbuild.blogspot.com/ Re: Need advice on this house plan - updated plan 46Jul 20, 2009 10:20 pm If it was me, I'd keep that bit of wall. Would be handy for use in both rooms, for shelves or sideboard etc.... It also helps define those 2 areas as seperate spaces. Not sure if there would be a reason they couldn't open that whole area up Surely they could if they wanted to. Goodluck buzz Edit : spelling... I'm a bit anal. Re: Need advice on this house plan - updated plan 47Jul 20, 2009 10:59 pm I'd open it up, the more open the better, as you said you can put a divider in later if you want to. If its bugging you now, it will really bug you once you are living there. 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 6 55346 Thank you so much for the effort.
