Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 05, 2009 11:29 pm Howdy I am planning an ouside living space adjacent to a ground level cement slab house. I dont want a step down to a paved area coz of wheelchair access. My only option [maybe] is to install decking to keep the ouside the same level as the floor inside. But ... Decking [wood] doesnt last. Maybe i can build it out of steel and cement fibre board? Maybe coat it with marine 2 pac and antislip [like on boats] Any thoughts ? Suggestions? Would that epoxy 2 pac paint last 20 years? Is cement an option? But where does the storm water go if i use cement? All help appreciatted.
