Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 03, 2009 10:41 pm Hi everyone!
Well, things have been moving very very quickly in our owner-build and I've now found out that our slab is going to be poured in about 7 days! I'm very excited, but at the same time very worried that I'm going to forget something/make a mistake! The things i know I've got to do are: - get the plumber/gas fitter back to put in a couple of gas points and mains water connections to spots on the slab which aren't near walls - get the sparky back to run a few conduits to kitchen island etc - termite protection - slab perimeter insulation (does anyone know if this is mandatory/a good idea??) - determine how to create a recess for our bi-fold doors (so the channel/sill is flush with the internal floor) Umm umm... What else?? I know this question has probably been asked before, but i couldn't find a thread! I'd really appreciate any advice/thoughts on things to double check or to look out for - don't think I'm going to be sleeping for the next week or so!!! Thanks heaps Adam Re: Slab pour in a week - I'm going to forget something! You definitely want to do this if you have in slab heating and in the ACT its probably a good idea anyway and much cheaper than trying to retrofit Re: Slab pour in a week - I'm going to forget something!
