Not really 100% sure on design... Dont mind the Belair...we will have to change the kids retreat to a fifith bedroom and make bedroom 3 slightly bigger... We have 4 kids and at the moment to share.. Also dont mind the Byron and the Lumeah with sittng room as fifth bedroom... Its finding somethin to fit everyone and not cost a fortune... How have you found m3tricon in comparison with other building firms???... More $$ or less...... Re: All signed up and READY TO GO :) - M3tricon Santorini 29 22Jun 08, 2009 6:27 pm Aimeh i have also tried to attach some pics but an error message has come up saying that the board quota has been reached...any suggestions?! Try upload the pictures to imageshack.us and link them that way. Glad to hear the whole studio M process went well - we had a tour last week and there is a lot to choose from. I know for Melbourne Metro customers that the base Santorini 29 is around $180k which is pretty much inline with other comparable builders. How have you found ***** in comparison with other building firms???... More$$ or less...... there are a lot to choose from!!! we also liked the lumeah (on display in torquay) but went with the santorini 29 as it is pretty much the same house just optioned up with the standard inclusions that come with the 'designer' range. we couldnt see the value in it thoguh so instead went with the santorini and added the upgades we wanted. as far as builders in our area go, we where actually going to build privately to begin with but could not compare the costs with a mass produced builder. we found that we could get a house with all the trimmings through M for less then a standard house through a private builder. as far as other mass produced builders in our area i dont want to dismiss any of them but i have quite a few friends that are tradies and have said they would not even look at anyone else but M. i have also found that M has lots of great country inclusions and are really looking to help the customer put as they are not yet established here. THANKS!!! and yes you are right! definately lot to choose from! we stuck with a lot of standard options or things that where included in out package but choosing the colours was SO difficult!!! far too many shades to choose from! BUT in saying that it was a great day!!! TAKE A LOOK http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/8162/bath.jpg although this was not on display i managed to get a snapshot from the book we have selected square so it matches with the semi-recessed basins we have chosen. http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/1041/coloursw.jpg this is an overview or 'story' of all out colours. we have the tiles liad throughout the house, and the 100% wool carpet in the bedrooms. on the right is the colours of our kitchen, white cupboards and draws, light stone benchtop, dark front to the island bench and a grey splashback. front left is the beige benchtop in the laundry and bathrooms, with white cupbards as well. small 'tungston' tile feature in main shower and bath hob. then the back elft is our "white" adn "white" walls and cieling. we have decided to wait untill we are in the place before selecting and painting feature colours to see what it needs and where the light is etc. http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/8910/ensuiteshower.jpg ensuite shower. we have also put a void in as a shelf. http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/1374/exterior.jpg ecterior colours DONT freak out over the yellow bricks - they are being rendered as soon as we have the keys (if not before depending on our ss)! major render is through the whole house, small charcoal swatch is feature render on the front of the house. 'monument' colourbond roofing, 'dune' down pipes. silver window frams through the bedrooms adn timber frames elseware in the stain displayed. this stain also matches our front door, garage door, decking and will match our cedar lining. http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/4338/frontdoor.jpg front door...annnnd luke my partner in crime http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/3972/f ... handle.jpg front door handle - roller door http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/1795/interiordoors.jpg gloss white extended height doors through the house http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/6756 ... andles.jpg handles in the kitchen (biggest standard avail) http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7382/microwavee.jpg microwave which will be located in island bench http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/7606/oven.jpg oven with draw below (still holding our breath on the price of switching our appliances to electric as we dont have gas!) http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/8576/showerp.jpg shower in ensuite and main bathroom - standard http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/8108/sink.jpg kitchen sink - unfortunatley not displayed but have seen before in display homes http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/4276/tapsu.jpg tapwear - left is the lauundry adn kitchen, right is the bathrooms and middle was just in the way so there you have it we are expecting prelim contracts in about 2-3 weeks and will have settlement on our land on the 30th of june then the fun begins!!! How were the staff at studio M in giving you prices for your selections? Such as that lovely door!? Also the void in the shower? We hadn't thought of that - was it a pricey option? Re: Studio M Selection COMPLETE - M3tricon Santorini 29 29Jun 08, 2009 10:52 pm Great colour selections!! I actually dont mind the yellow bricks, it doesnt look that bad! I just wanted to ask, with regards to your sink, is that a single sink because half of it is really shallow? Or is that removable? Also, we have chosed the same entry door as you, very nice. We hadn't thought of that - was it a pricey option? thank you!!! we found that having the render done after handover was ALOT cheaper...so definately consider that! havent got any prices as yet - expecting an e-mail today. the door was actually part of the package the void is great! really clean and gets rid of that nasty wire rack in your nice new shower your shower needs to have 3 walls - so it can only go in the ensuite. and i think it was around $300. pricey for what it is but it looks great! Also, we have chosed the same entry door as you, very nice. thanks wonderland! the sink is a single. the only options we had where the standard 'older style' with a big sink and little sink together, or a double sink with two smaller square sinks and no drying tray. we measured this one up and it will be big enough for pots etc. but unfortunately the left hand side drying rack/vegie peel area isn't removable. it was the best option for us though as we thought the double sinks where a bit small and didnt want the older style.
