Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Provincial Homes 545Sep 22, 2017 9:01 am Duke145 I noticed the detailed kitchen plans. Is that something you paid extra for or is it provided into the build as we have not been offered this and it looks like something that would be helpful! Even with the detailed plans though, not everything is as we wanted/discussed, but overall very happy with the result and quality. Re: Provincial Homes 547Sep 22, 2017 10:37 am Duke145 Thanks! As per the kitchen, your brick choice and plans look great! For those just starting, hang in there. Once you begin it generally flows really well. Re: Provincial Homes 549Sep 22, 2017 4:08 pm Duke145 pics would be great! Re: Provincial Homes 551Sep 24, 2017 12:38 pm nav12c Duke145 pics would be great! Wow your pics look fantastic. - View my blog at www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com Re: Provincial Homes 552Sep 24, 2017 11:12 pm Brick is Austral Urban One Chiffon. Was included in our package. Woollahra includes tiles to ceiling. I think it looks nicer. However, if you change to a more expensive tile, it will obviously cost more coz it's based on square metres of tile. Teemo Nav thanks for posting the house looks amazing! What brick is that out of curiosity? Was the tiles in the bathroom to the ceiling included or extra? Re: Provincial Homes 553Oct 07, 2017 12:47 pm Slight update. Very slow last 4 weeks, apparently waiting for a "good" painting crew. Still looking at approx 4 weeks to handover with the following remaining: paint, electrical finishing, appliances and concurrent to all that, an underground stormwater tank. Few pictures of recent activity: kitchen tiling completed, couple of the timber internal door hung, tiled waste completed in bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Provincial Homes 554Oct 09, 2017 1:14 pm Nice Nav. Shame about the painter. It will be interesting to see how it all turns out. I haven't heard a peep from provincial about them starting but I was pleasantly surprised to see 2 weeks ago my land was flattened and the weekend that just passed has white outlines for what im assuming is piers and plumbing. No fence yet.I cant wait to be at your stage. Re: Provincial Homes 555Oct 09, 2017 1:46 pm Hey Teemo Sounds like you are at a similar stage to us. In the last 2 weeks we have had the site marked out, concrete pierings, site re-leveled, internal plumbing, reo laid and concrete slab should be poured also this week. It is like almost something happening every couple of days at the moment. Re: Provincial Homes 557Oct 09, 2017 3:39 pm Duke145 Hey Teemo Sounds like you are at a similar stage to us. I forgot to mention the fence, which was delivered and installed on Saturday. Where are you building and which design if you don't mind me asking? Re: Provincial Homes 559Oct 09, 2017 4:03 pm Borrow Dirt? I would just be charged for it by you and then again by Provincial haha. I asked them to leave the excess dirt on site so I can spread it over my yard and they were like "No we simply cant do that. We need to charge you to remove it". I almost felt like they were trying to find more things to bill me for. Hopefully I can reason with my site supervisor whoever he is. Im building at Box Hill within Hills of Carmel. The design is actually a new design. Single story 24 square designed for 12.5m front. The Dulux colour consultants are awesome. If you show them the photos they should be able to figure it out for you straight away 1 1618 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74714 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
