Aren't family funny about house builds - they're exciting for you but so critical of everything. One of my family members points out every possible paint defect like shes trying to help. The house isn't finished yet and all she does is pick on "it" and I want to show her the door. By the way I think your slab looks massive!!! Fi has moved in!! Re: 78XTC's Empire - Colours 4.5.09 42May 05, 2009 12:30 pm You have chosen some nice colours there. We have used some of the same colours for areas of our place. Must be like the same taste in front door Can't wait till you have a picture of it. You are still using Tuscan yeah? Thanks Which colours are the same? We are still having the Tuscan door - frames only going up this week so it wont be onsite for a while We obviously have the same impeccable taste Re: 78XTC's Empire - Colours 4.5.09 44May 05, 2009 2:27 pm brittany Love your colours - especially that metal black tile. By the way I think your slab looks massive!!! Oh I hear ya!! I had to listen to a family member dribble on about how formal lounge & dining areas are for people with no brains (she actually used more colourful language than that). We've also had to listen to family criticise us for building and not buying an already established home - they 'excused' our decision to build by saying "oh you are just too anal retentive to buy something someone else built"... ah excuse me? ok there may be an ounce of truth in that but I certainly dont need it rammed down my throat! Re: 78XTC's Empire - Colours 4.5.09 45May 05, 2009 4:49 pm time to edit the house warming party invite list by the sounds Can't wait to see some more pics. You are going along well so far. My work collegue building with P at moment also, has frame and roof and has some additional pipes coming through a section of the plan where we are having a store room. We building same plan as them. So I'm thinking, if we can have a store room there, then his pipes are in the wrong location. I'm guessing the taller pipe may end up with a junction in it and become a breather pipe for the sewer lines and go up through the roof. They may wait until second floor is up to see where they will run it. Worth a call or polite question. Turns out they ran some electrical through them underground!! 78xtc Your frame look great congrats. I am extremely jealous of your Walk In Pantry. ohhhhh so so jealous. EDIT- 78xtc a noggin is that piece of timber that sits horizontal between your studs.( note my excellent building terms hahaha !!!) We are adding some extra noggins in shower etc as we will install some glass shelves after handover. SS was happy for us to just go in an nail some in where we wanted.
