Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Any single people doing the build on your own?? 81Jul 08, 2009 10:35 pm Eljay, relax and enjoy the fact that you'll be building your own home! Everyone probably freaks out just a little - especially people building on their own. I know I have! But just take a deep breath and think of how awesome your OWN house of your OWN design will be! While it's fairly close to where I grew up, my life has been in the CBD for so long it's going to be a big change. Re: Any single people doing the build on your own?? 83Jul 08, 2009 11:04 pm Your probably right! I've had a really really bad week which has hit the pocket pretty hard and on top of that I'm really stressing how I'm going to pay the rent plus a new mortgage on my own On Monday when I got back to my car, (which was sitting at a railway station) I found that it had been broken into. Not a good feeling and its been a very costly thing. I had my car keys in there and they also found my GPS stashed in the boot. which had my address saved as "home". So...I had to pay over $500 to get all the doors rekeyed, plus the excess etc and none of the stuff taken out of the car was covered with my insurance, so I'm out of pocket there too.... been bummed all week Plus I'm really home sick too, I'm missing family and friends so much Boo hoo ... thanks for letting me whinge lol EDIT> Sorry, slight typo - the car Keys weren't in there, but my house keys were. I just spent heaps on fixing my car, the same week that rego was due, plus all my other big bills! My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months!
