Thats a huge relief now that part is over! Hopefully your build will run as smoothly as ours! Watch it all happen now .... will all go up so quickly! I think that price for the retaining wall is quite good actually. Ours was about $6800 - there might still be a pic on my thread - can't remember how long it was though. Maybe its about 25m-ish - plus he put in steel posts too. Bring on the building !!! Hopefully you will have a site start date soon !! What is the date on your contract ? Re: Liberty 42 in Brisbane - Building Application approved 14/7 27Jul 15, 2009 8:10 am Contract doesn't have a start date..just 252 days from start to finish. We signed the contract 28/5..so seems soooo long ago now. Ok..so the retaining wall mightn't be that expensive then..I know 12 m3 of concrete went into the footings...couldn't believe it when the 3rd concrete truck turned up! No idea how much went in to mine !! Hmmm, i think by memory the contract should have a start date..... i think its about 2/3 the way through and I think it was a page you had to sign perhaps by memory.... Could even be on the same page as the days from start to finish. Could say "start date & price review date" or something like that.... ?!!? Re: Liberty 42 in Brisbane - Site Start set for 31/7 32Jul 16, 2009 2:44 pm Don't you worry..i've been watching every car/truck etc. drive past wondering if it's for us (we're building 5 doors up from where we live now). I think they'll need the M sign so deliveries can find the block too..100m eastment has made it hard to find for ppl so far. No work being done for a few days till they can book the excavator etc. Our SS seems really good..took time to explain the process and answer my questions. Looks like he left us some rocks and a cage. Hoping this means we'll see more action tomorrow. Day 11 - Today we got our 34 piers and footings to the outdoor room. Now we have a really good sense of how the house sits on the block. It's looking huge, especially the outdoor room. Tomorrow they should be putting in the plumbing pipes and hoping to have the slab down by Friday.
