Been doing more planting but you can't really tell as they are so small but I did get a "feature" for my back yard as you'll see below. Over the w'end we put down all be 4 tricky boards for the front deck to see if we're happy with the look before we embark on the mega deck out the back. Today they boxed up the top section of our driveway ready to pour tomorrow and friday so the front will start to look like a home rather than a construction site soon. Stonecutters Ridge Community Website | My photos Re: Liberty 42 - driveway and front plants - pics 12/6 231Jun 12, 2010 6:06 pm Thanks guys...we got the dinosaur from a place called Natureworks. They do all sorts of dinosaurs..decided the 45m brontosaurus would be a little big I can't remember what the code for my tiles are..I'll have to dig up the paperwork. They're a 600m square rectified, polished porcelain. They have a silver/grey fleck through them. We got them from Beaumont but have also seen them at CTM. Usually about $60/sqm. Well our driveway is down and dry. A few more weeks and I'll put the penetrative sealer down. I put in the front yard plants..again sooo tiny doesnt look like anything. Still have 1 and bit tonne of mulch to move to top up the other beds that have compacted a bit. Finished off the last few boards on the front landing so now the last big job is the back deck but that'll have to wait a bit. Oh..and we have to move a bit more junk so we can get the car in the garage! Finally got to put out my front feature we've had sitting the the garage since january: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Closeup of the plastic deck Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ landing and front garden bed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Front facade with driveway: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Built Liberty 42 - Handover 26th Feb 2010 forum thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17243 Re: Liberty 42 - 3 months in - PICS 26/5 232Jun 12, 2010 6:09 pm Wow, stunning facade and driveway. Really looks nice. You're in a battle axe block right? We're still at bricking stage ourselves, and looking at your home makes the wait even less bearable. You must be so pleased all your hard work has payed off. Just brilliant! I particularly like your driveway. I am in the process of trying to find a driveway company in Brisbane and I have no idea how to find a good one. Could I please ask who you used? would you recommend them? what aggregate supplier did they use? and what this really nice aggrigate mix have you chosen? It looks great with the colours of your new home. Re: Liberty 42 - driveway and front plants - pics 12/6 235Jun 12, 2010 6:30 pm deletedpenguin, Yep..big battleaxe..I'm just ignoreing the 100m driveway that isn't done yet for now I know how you feel..when we were building we lived by yet were so jealous of other houses on here that were nearing completion/done etc. It's so worth the wait though. misskittyfantastico, We used jacobs well concreting. They spent a long time geting the levels right so the water gets funneled to the front and down into my mega drain which is great. We used "Salt and Pepper" is the boral name with a 60/40 (black/white) mix. I think they used Hansons concrete? Not sure if it's the nature of the mix or how they wash it off but there's some bits that look awesome with lots of colour and others that look a bit bare of rocks. It looked a bit overpoweing till the garden beds went in and finished the landing as there's 170sqm of concrete in the front but we need it for visitors/turning space options because of the battleaxe. Wow, I can see why you would be waiting to do the 'other' 100m2 down the axe handle if this is 170m2 already. Thanks for the recommendation. I was hoping it might be a hansons mix and I appreciate the information about the concentration of stones. Thanks again I hope you enjoy many happy years in your lovely new home.
