Downstairs is done and I've got 2 rooms left upstairs to do. Been getting quotes on blinds, security, gutter guard etc...so exhausting comparing quotes. Our phone line has been transferred but our ADSL hasn't properly moved across so I'm on Wireless BBand which is useless for uploading pics to anywhere...so that'll have to wait a bit. Tiler start the downstairs tiles on Monday and hopefully get the carpet laid 2 weeks after that. Enjoying it here even without floor coverings and 1/2 my stuff...missing not having a fridge for a bit. Built Liberty 42 - Handover 26th Feb 2010 forum thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17243 Re: Liberty 42 - 1 Week in - PICS 6/3 183Mar 06, 2010 7:20 am Our ADSL finally moved over so now I have decent internet which means I can upload some pics. I'm done with painting other than some touch ups which is awesome as I'd giving myself 2 weeks to paint. Tiler is coming monday, carpet is booked for 2 weeks after that, I've order blinds and security and had ppl through to look at the extra storage I wanted. Just have a few gutter guard qutoes and a retractable fly screen quotes to go. Then it's really onto outside and making the place tiny dog proof. Now for pics. Just downstairs for the moment. I'll do some upstairs pics next week: Entryway before and after (Merlot) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Lounge before and after (Khaki Green) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ BF's office before and after (Beaver Creek) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My office (Coffee Break) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Built Liberty 42 - Handover 26th Feb 2010 forum thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17243 Re: Liberty 42 - 1 Week in - PICS 6/3 184Mar 06, 2010 7:47 am Those feature walls look fantastic!! WOW, you've been busy painting and you did this on your own? Lovely job BTW ...now you're stamping your personal touch in your house! That's great! The painting is just about done in the house but I've asked for a 3rd coat to be done which will be done soonish I think. I ended up with my own paint colour (long story in my thread) and I'm totally over the moon! I love my wall colour SO MUCH that I'm starting to abandon thoughts of adding in feature wall colours for the family and living areas! I've noticed that feature colours have a tendency to be darker contrasting colours and I'm not sure whether this would be good for my house given the lack of natural lighting. I'll pop into the Interior Design forum and post a question there... I'm really happy with my feature walls...the place was looking way too hospital for me. I like some colour in the place. Ordered some nice silvery textured blinds so should look pretty swish. Almost got put off when the guy said the one I picked is super popular at the moment..oh well..I like it. The tiler started today and put down the first row of tiles. Also finally hung our home made projector screen after too many trips and hours looking at various fixing items at Bunnings. Tomorrow I have a bob cat coming to push some dirt around so we can make a start on outside landscaping. So I've got some new pics. Excuse the mess as there's stuff everywhere as we don't have floor coverings and everything is sitting off the wall so I could paint. They tie in with your bed frame really well! How clever of you installing your screen up in the media room. What a huge media room too! Glad to see your tiling is starting. When's it scheduled to be completed and which areas are you tiling? They reckon 7-9 days for the tiles..so pretty much 2 weeks. The did a bunch yesterday....looks like a long and fiddly process. You have used some very dramatic colouts to great effect. Can't wait to see some more photos once the tiling is done.
