Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 24, 2009 12:07 pm Hi, We paid our initial deposit of $1000 with DFH 8 weeks ago,and are still waiting on results of soil test! I have been contacting the sales consultant weekly she leaves me feeling like why have i called. I called her early last week and she said the soil test has been done and she is waiting on the report. Am i getting impatient? After 8 weeks we still havent been contacted regarding our colour appointment either, should we be concerned? Re: Soil Test 2Apr 24, 2009 12:26 pm mm well we paid our initial deposit back in early March and no soil test has been done. Although that's most likely due to our land still being a paddock with no roads or pegged out... :s Are you sure they have access to your land to carry out the soil tests? When your sales consultant calls ask them to chase up the colour selection. Once we paid our deposit, we where contacted within a couple weeks to book tiles and color selection. ---------------------------------------- Building the PD Lisbon 24 http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#homeviewer/lisbon/24 Blog of our progress. http://lisbon24.blogspot.com/ Homeone build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28665 Re: Soil Test 3Apr 24, 2009 12:46 pm Hi, Thanks for your reply, When I contacted the sales consultant early last week she notified me it had been done the previous week just waiting on the report. I didnt think it would take over a week to send it through. I am just getting fustrated as i am not getting updated a simple email to tell me the status shouldnt be too hard. The same this is happening with the mortgage broker. Re: Soil Test 4Apr 24, 2009 1:38 pm I too am frustrated by the poor communication skills of my sales rep and mortgage broker. We signed prelim on 30th Jan and still haven't had prestart. Mind you, we are still waiting on finance approval which is probably holding things up? It can take up to 3 week to get your footing reports depends on how busy the engineer are. Re: Soil Test 6Apr 24, 2009 2:18 pm Thanks for your advice, 3 weeks gosh! I have sent an email and no reply, I am geting really stressed as i cant afford the site costs to be over $10000 which we budgeted. I will drive out to the block and look where the holes are because i do know on the plan it showed we have some fill on our block but it is at the rear so i hope they didnt do it over that section. I am anxiously waiting now. Thank you Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess.
