Now there are only a couple of vacant blocks between our place and the entrance to the estate. Can't wait to see what it looks like once everyone has finished building and landscaping. I think it will be amazing. Have any other current or future Hawkstowe locals recently joined the forum? Make yourselves be known! Trying to meet as many people as we can before we move in. Last week we were complaining that seemingly 'bugger all' had happened over the previous two weeks. This week we have been receiving regular updates from our neighbour who have told us that they have really got stuck in this week. The bricking has finished, solar panel installed, insulation and plaster installed. We have now received our invoice for lockup and our CSC emailed today to say that we are pretty much at fixing stage, so expect another invoice next week. We are going out to the house first thing in the morning to inspect and take photos. Very exciting! We can see light at the end of the tunnel! Check out our blog http://ourpalazzo.blogspot.com We will add more photos over the weekend. Jason Built in now city 2009, now moving to the country to embark on another build. I was just noticing today how all the gaps are getting filled in. I'm curious to see how the house next to the creek progresses - it has a curved corner window and what seems to be an angled roofline. Interesting.... If you're about on the weekend, drop round and say hi - we're usually home. Re: Building in Hawkstowe- at lockup! 32Aug 01, 2009 6:09 am Hi Kek, We are heading out there this morning......couldn't wait until the afternoon! Time permitting me will drop in and say hi! Yes, the house next to the creek looks interesting. I saw the 'red' house over near you...yuck! Have you noticed single storey house along Hawkstowe parade (further around from us, past the 'community centre', on the opposite side of the road). It has a cream coloured roof...not sure how that got approved? Certainly doesn't fit in with the rest of the dark grey roofs. I'm betting the owners did a post-contract variation and changed it, then somehow the change never got submitted to Stockland for approval. I've been meaning to call them and ask what the go is.... keep forgetting about it. Might do it tomorrow. Yeah, the red house is interesting.... I love a red front door or feature pots either side of the door, but a whole red facade is a bit OTT. I sent an email to Stockland to complain...I found out the correct person to contact and sent them an email. When I get to work tomorrow I will try to find the email address and send it to.
