Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 23, 2009 11:52 am I've ask a builder for he names of some people he has built homes for. He has obliged and given me 3 names of people who are happy to talk to me. I will call them tonight. I'm just putting together a few questions to ask them. All suggestions welcome. Are you happy with your home? Did you have any concerns during the build and after handover? How were they resolved? How would you describe the qualiy of workmanship? Who did you deal with? Were they contactable? Did they return phone calls? Would you use them again? Were there any hidden costs? Were there any surprises you weren't expecting? Was it completed on time? However, we still didn't feel comfortable with this builder because he just didn't seem trustworthy enough! In fact one of the references given to us was actually his business relationship/friend..... .....it was funny because the guy thought I was a financial representive trying to get some info on his friend...... busted!
