The sales reps from Peet Warner Lakes just told me it now isn't due to be registered until Oct; However, he did say that some builders will let you sign contracts before the land is registered and that plan build was one of them. I wonder if Coral could be persuaded! Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 63Jun 18, 2009 3:35 pm Yes unfortunately the same thing happened to us. We've been ready to order contracts for months now but due to the delay in the land settling we haven't been able too. The builder will need your SP number before plans can be drawn or contracts put in place. I'd be having a chat to your SC about seeing if Coral can compromise especially considering what you may be set to lose if they don't. Good luck Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 64Jun 23, 2009 7:03 am Contract and plans due today, although that probably means later in the week but at least I know they're most likely only days away Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 66Jun 23, 2009 10:36 am hope it comes today bek - so exciting!!! 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 68Jun 23, 2009 9:25 pm fingers crossed for tommorrows mail bek did they say they would send it Monday or Tuesday? 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 69Jun 23, 2009 9:39 pm So exciting Beck! Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 71Jun 24, 2009 12:51 pm Hi Bek - any news? quick question - who are you getting to do your driveway? I recieved a quote this morning, but it came in a lot more than i thought would... any reccomendations? 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 72Jun 24, 2009 12:54 pm I just got back from the display home with my plans and contracts They'd delivered them there instead of directly to us.
They look great, i'm in love I'll upload them ASAP!! Jess - We've got a few verbal quotes on $ per m2 but I haven't actually got any proper quotes yet. We had a guy do all our concreting on our last build for cash and he was great so we might try and get in contact with him again and see if he'll beat our quotes. I can forward his details on to you if you'd like, i'm sure he'd do work out your way. They are looking great Rebekah! Have to admit I looked at your kitchen & thought - YES that is what we want!!!! then saw the 'by owners'' bit . Wish we could do ours ourselves - your layout is exactly how we wanted it to be! Love the look across the front too - very flash Cheers Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - Plans & contracts are here 24/6 77Jun 24, 2009 8:41 pm Thanks OMG. There is just so... much to now go through but we're getting there, slowly. My hubbie is a cabinetmaker so he'll be doing all of our cabinetry in the house. Coral will allow you to take one trade out of the contract so if you're thinking of doing something extra with your kitchen it might be worth while sourcing it yourself. The only concern we've had so far is that they've drawn in the retaining walls in a completely different spot to how we discussed doing it with the SC, so i'm hoping that's something fairly minor because we're doing it ourselves. Otherwise it will cost us a fortune to do what they've drawn, let alone the fact that we'll lose too much sideway on the left hand side. Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - Plans & contracts are here 24/6 78Jun 24, 2009 9:33 pm Hi Bek - very nice! i love the modified design - works way better than the original with the little hallway and wasted space re: the retaining wall, how high does it have to be? 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - Plans & contracts are here 24/6 79Jun 25, 2009 7:42 am Jess - We were under the impression that the retaining wall was to be about 700mm on either side and our SC even thought the left hand side of the block may not even need one as we got batter it down so I guess we're a little confused when the site plan shows two full retaining walls either side. I'll see what our SC says today I guess and go from there. Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - Plans & contracts are here 24/6 80Jun 25, 2009 7:50 am Looks great Bek, another little step forward in the process. OMG - see if you can swap your kitchen for the Brampton. We swapped our Heron kitchen for the Bedarra one - REALLY wish I had room for the brampton kitchen, it's huge and looks similar to what Bek has. You can also make more modifications to their standard plans too. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13723 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1693 |
