Kat Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton, WE'RE IN, PHOTOS FINALLY!!! 742Jan 21, 2010 9:00 pm Thanks so much for the lovely comments Jodie - Yes the kids toy shelving is the Expedit from Ikea. We're getting the 4x2 to put long ways where the little tv table is so that the tv is up higher from the boys and also for extra storage. I love Ikea for the kids stuff, I also have their Malm tallboy in C's room. I just need to buy the matching bedside table for him. TC - I'm glad to hear my photos have you cheered you up. I just had a read of your thread. I'm so upset for you that you're having a such a crappy time. It can only get better. If you like the kitchen now, wait until you see what we've picked for the splashback LOL!! Kat - That lounge is actually just from A-Mart Walker - I can't wait to follow your build. The media room is Dulux Linseed. I'm so in love with that colour. We also used it for a feature wall in the study which is opposite the media room. Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton, WE'RE IN, PHOTOS FINALLY!!! 743Jan 21, 2010 9:13 pm It looks lovely, well done I think we have the same floor tiles Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. You have a good eye for making those little touches look nice. I love the Dulux linseed too. We actually considered having all of our walls painted that colour, but we went two shades lighter with a colour called Candlebark. I think it looks great with our natural white skirtings and architraves. Hopefully we will have handover next week and hope to move in 6/7th Feb. Beck - do you want to come around and decorate? Yay for you! Looking great! Funny about you saying you could have swapped the laundry & bathroom - when we were looking at the Hamilton we wanted to do just that - but were told we couldnt so dont beat yourself up about it. I am looking forward to seeing the other rooms as they come together! Cheers Kim Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton, WE'RE IN, PHOTOS FINALLY!!! 747Jan 22, 2010 10:51 pm I agree with you about IKEA being gr8 for kids' furniture and stuff. We loved our kids' IKEA wardrobes so much that we brought them over with us from Europe when we moved over and luckily we did cos' they no longer do the 2 wardrobes anymore! Now, I can't wait for your kitchen splashback to be installed!!!! I love interior design, would love to do that for a living on day. Good luck with the handover, not long now. Kim - Oh well that's good then. At least it's something I can put my mind at ease with now. deletedpenguin - It's Dulux Linseed. Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton, WE'RE IN, PHOTOS FINALLY!!! 750Jan 23, 2010 3:25 pm Beck certainly does have a great sense of style. Her house in real life is even better than the photos.. if that's possible . Well done Beck. It's a lovely family home for you and the boys. Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton, WE'RE IN, PHOTOS FINALLY!!! 751Jan 27, 2010 10:16 am Congrats on the house! Your colours look great. The kitchen turned out really well. Definetly plenty of cupboard space! Nicely furnished too! big thumbs up on the choices! ~Building a Noosa 228 through Coral Homes~ My building thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28456 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton, WE'RE IN, PHOTOS FINALLY!!! 752Jan 27, 2010 12:43 pm Gorgeous!! What colour are your floor tiles, and where are they from , do you remember? The tile I have picked is similar, but the look I want is what you have. My tile seems rather dark but I have been told by a few people that tiles lighten up when they are laid? Is this right? I would have thought that having a whole heap would look even darker. What colour are your floor tiles, and where are they from , do you remember? They are from Amber Tiles. I can't remember the name of them but I can find out for you. And yes they definitely look a lot lighter once they're layed and in a larger section. I guess it also helped that we had such light walls. The skirting and architraves are just the plain square, i'm not sure exactly what they're called but they're completely plain (no groove detail) with a slight aris on the edges. I will post some external photos on the weekend for you. Our roof is Colorbond Surfmist and our render is Dulux Self Destruct. Quote: Absolutely gorgeous, Rebekah!! You have done an amazing job! I was lucky enough to pick it up from Freedom in the post-xmas sales. It was one of the first things to go up on my walls as well Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton, WE'RE IN, PHOTOS FINALLY!!! 760Jan 29, 2010 11:49 am -Rebekah- The skirting and architraves are just the plain square, i'm not sure exactly what they're called but they're completely plain (no groove detail) with a slight aris on the edges. I can help you out there coz we got the same ones. They are called a single bevel arch or splayed depending on who you talk to. I suggest Hume doors website if you want to look at all the different ones available.
