We are also building a Hamilton with Coral, seems to be the house of choice at the moment(for good reasons in my book). Who have you got as your supervisor? Leon Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 47Jun 02, 2009 10:10 pm hi bek, that's great about the finance is that conditional upon reciept of the contract and a suitable valuation? i would LOVE to have my facade photoshopped aswell just waiting for those contract drawings so i have the front elevation - the best people to ask would be d@n (but i think he is quite busy sometimes) Judie would also do a great job, she is fantastic with colours and photoshop - i also noticed that anna1 did agreat photoshop of her house in michelles forum - very nice! hope this helps... 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 48Jun 03, 2009 10:13 am Yay !! Hope it continues to all go smoothly for you !! Building in Brisbane SW Suburbs Started on site with plumbing on 30/3 - Lock up 2/5 - 15/6 Recd Fixing Invoice - 18/6 Painter to start ! Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 49Jun 03, 2009 11:04 am That's great Beck. Having a start date is one more thing that makes it all feel a bit more 'real'. Don't worry about your doors, Coral seem to be great with last minute changes. They probably swear about it behind your back but I found everyone great to deal with. Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 50Jun 03, 2009 2:35 pm Helmut - How exciting, where abouts are you building ? We haven't been allocated a site supervisor yet. I'm guessing that will happen once the plans come out of council Jess - Yes still conditional until contracts and working drawings are done. Thanks for that info on the photoshop stuff. Crissy - Oh thanks. Selecting all the colours is definitley my favourite part LOL. JL - Good to hear from you, how is the move going ? I love your lounge suite, where is that from may I ask ? Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 51Jun 03, 2009 4:18 pm Hi Beck, The move has been a little tedious. We've still got unpacked boxes everywhere, can't find a few things and what not, but we'll get there. I'm busy trying to write this assignment that's due Friday (and really should have done before the move) so it can all wait until the weekend. I've just been popping in here to escape it I'd love to tell you where the couch was originally from, but we picked it up on Ebay for an absolute bargain! It seems to be a very good quality one, and we paid less than you would for an A-Mart quality one! We love it, can't believe our luck. I don't think the people selling it were happy that they lost it for so little, but that's the Ebay gamble. It had only been in a display home and never used, so we're really very lucky. Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 52Jun 12, 2009 10:09 pm -Rebekah- Thanks everyone The ball is well and truly rolling now. I just got off the phone from our SC and we have a contract date set for 23rd June Wow!! Congratulations , and BTW, your facade is to die for (and your kitchen too!) - I can't wait to see it all unfold. Watching this space .... Building the 22sq Ashton Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 53Jun 14, 2009 6:02 am awesome news on your progress Bec! We are abou to start the process so I'm loving this forum. Question; if it's not rude/bad form, how much did it cost you to upgrade your oven? What sort of benchtops did you go with? Do you know if the gloss ones stain for good with water splash or does that stain come off? Anyway, thanks for you time and good luck! Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 54Jun 14, 2009 8:54 pm JL - Gosh that is a bargain with the couch then, lucky score jolie - Thanks for that. I can't wait to see how it all turns out. will0305 - We were charged about $1100 to upgrade to the 900mm Blanco upright stove with gas cooktop. Our benchtops will be Quantum Quartz which is an engineered stone and it isn't porous so something like water doesn't stain at all. Where abouts are you building ? Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 55Jun 14, 2009 9:56 pm not long til your contracts & plans arrive bek! you must be excited 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 57Jun 15, 2009 11:02 am Jess - Excited but anxious actually because like you we've made quite a few changes and from what I can tell so far Coral tend to let quite a few things slide so i'm hoping our plans and contracts are correct otherwise it's more waiting for us will0305 - Warner Lakes is lovely, what size block did you purchase ? What are your concerns with it ? Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 58Jun 18, 2009 2:34 pm Hi Rebekah, Just worried about the size of the block 765 (with 8m setback)With the size of the house. We also have a lot of neighbours due to the size of the blocks in the land just released. I'm also really worried about the site costs. It kind of sucks not being able to know what they will be until the soil test is back- as you all know it makes it really hard to budget. We were told the land was old potato farms and is really flat but that doesn't mean they won't hit rock or something. That plus the land isn't due to be registered until September/October and I think we will miss out on the FHOG. My husband and I are first home owners so we know pretty much nothing re home building. He will be away for most of the build so I'll be doing most of it on my own..hence me reading just about every post on this forum and asking stupid questions!! I'm trying to arm myself with all your knowledge... Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 59Jun 18, 2009 2:42 pm hi mel, you should still be eligible for the $21,000.00 FHOG as long as your contracts with coral are signed before the 30/09/09...surely they won't take 3 and a half months to get you to contract!!!! the only thing is the site costs are provisional until the land is registered (as the developer can still play around with your land between the soil tests and the land registration) but my site costs didn't change at all!! 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Beck's Coral Hamilton - We have a contract date 23/6 60Jun 18, 2009 2:53 pm I guess I don't really understand. We were told we couldn't sign any contract to build a house until the land was registered. We were then told that due to the length of time the plans took to turn around that we would probably miss out. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13781 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4355 |
