Hi lildutchgringo
Your house is looking great. What is the colour of your ensuite cabinets? I really like it. Sorry if you've mentioned it before - I looked back through this thread to see if I could find the colours but no luck.

Re: Our House Our Home...27/6 UPDATE..ALL SPICK & SPAN!!! 183Jun 27, 2009 9:36 pm Dropped pass the house today and saw a couple of cars in the drive and thought this might be interesting...and to my delight it was cleaners and they were making our house look real nice!!! I got to have a quick squizz while they were finishing and took some pics and all i can say is...WOW!!! other than a few minor things (one not so minor - our spa and shower heads in the ensuite are not in yet?) there is bugger all to do... Our splashback is nice clean and elegant, our tapwear is awesome and the carpets look great, we were a little worried about the colour but it looks great especially when they meet the tile - they make a good match! Cannot wait to see the finishing touches...oh and now we can pee!!! Ours look so 'standard'... GRRR.. Wow, 4 months to build, that is amazing stuff, why wasnt ours this fast??? Yours has gone by so quickly, Ive forgotten if youve had your first PCI yet?? You have a handover date yet? Looks real close, only thing I can see to be done, other than the showerheads as youve mentioned, are the appliances - which are installed the day you get your keys.. So, showerheads and your done!!! I cant wait to see more pics of the house, it looks like your very close to the end!!! Your build sounds like it was a really smooth one, I mean, youve never had any issues with the building works! Congrats on the nice house!! I cant believe its taken 4 months for you? we are coming into 7 months. it almost feels unreal when we are up to this stage..... i was starting to think we'd never get here.. Although we are a week or so behind you we haven't received a PCI yet! Our CL lady wont return my emails and she insists waiting a week then calling my partner (who works in noisy areas so cant hear much - he also doesn't relay information very well ). Grrrrrrrrrr I will be adding pictures soon (busy with work)! i found it hardf to get happy about a house that wasn't progressing at all (our house sat for 7 weeks) this weekend was A happy surprise:
toilets bath spa shower screen electrical final render shelving in pantry/linen/bedrooms mirror doors on master wardrobe The temp toilet is gone and so is the Temp fence we still have to get the following:
kitchen and laundry sinks kitchen bench top (stone) Mirrors splash back Carpet heating ducts/ panel touch up paint Carlisle Atlantique 32sq - Handover 13th Aug... MAYBE? (1 week) Re: Our House Our Home...27/6 UPDATE..ALL SPICK & SPAN!!! 187Jun 28, 2009 10:18 pm WOW 4 months, that's so quick! Lucky you, i hope ours will be quick also. You're absolutely right, the sinks do look awesome, i'm very happy with that choice. It looks really good in your house. I dont know whether you've mentioned this but is your carpet standard range? Which one is it and what colour, and if it's an upgrade, how much did you pay for it? Thanks Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Our House Our Home...27/6 UPDATE..ALL SPICK & SPAN!!! 188Jun 29, 2009 11:12 am wonderland, youll be pleased to hear that we have the same vanity basins too!! BUT, I think they are a bit shallow, water splashes everywhere, and its really hard to keep the mixer tap clean because its attached to the becnhtop rather than the basin like the others. But hey, at least they look stylish!!! But thats the thing with these overbench? (cant remember name) basins - I think I shouldve gone for the normal square basins... BecNCraig, great to hear about your build after so long!!! Cant wait to see the pics! Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! (1 week) Re: Our House Our Home...7/7 UPDATE..Pre Handover Report!!! 197Jul 07, 2009 8:21 pm Hey B&C Thanks...as we are for you... ..it feels so close but still a long journey..cant wait till it ends!!! Congrats on your last final editions Yes Kevin did do our PCI check but he did it on Monday for us so we have a list to take to our PCI this thursday... so we will be armed and ready To report... Kevin told me that overall it has been very well done...We had the normal aesthetic things but they are always going to happen. The only annoying thing was something that should have been fixed at Pre frame had not been done yet.. so i'm a little disappointed in that... but that happens... overall very happy... We still have a majority of our stuff still packed from our last move...thank god!!! so not too bad... although the wife has been shopping lately so the back room with all our stuff is growing up the walls How about yourselves.. i can imagine your bday party if you are in for it.... Sorry, I am a bit naive about that sort of thing as the one in our current house is all hard wired. I'd like something more basic and easy.
