I think both options looks good. I like the idea of a long island bench and the bifolds that connects the alfresco to kitchen/dinning. But then I also like the idea of bifold windows and clear island bench. Thanks guys for letting me know Salt&Pepper Your building the Pagoda arent ya? Are you going for stove or sink on your island? Or neither?? We decided to move the stove to the wall instead of the island bench because like you, we dont like to have anything on our island bench. The sink will remain near the window as standard. We have heard that there is a new rule with CH now. Apparently now, people are not able to change the kitchen layouts anymore. Meaning that they wont be able to move the location of the stove from island bench to wall bench. I think it sux that they've changed the rules! wonderland, so whereabouts is your stove/rangehood located now? in centre of wall side? Lucky you got in time, before the new rule.. Thats a really stupid rule, its going to be so unappealing to future clients.. Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! Re: Our House Our Home...15/6 UPDATE..Grout & Electrics!!! 148Jun 15, 2009 8:52 pm We got three quotes and have gone for the 2nd dearest/2nd cheapest. I got a really good vibe from the sales lady. Hope to meet her on Monday with DH. Will be roughly 9k for the whole house. We might be able to get the price down by choosing cheaper fabric. I know it is alot of money but I see it as a long term investment. Would love to know your price for blinds if you want to share Re: Our House Our Home...15/6 UPDATE..Grout & Electrics!!! 149Jun 15, 2009 9:06 pm mundie mansion Would love to know your price for blinds if you want to share Sure the quote we got was for $4250 installed... Re: Our House Our Home...15/6 UPDATE..Grout & Electrics!!! 150Jun 15, 2009 9:14 pm Wow, I like the sound of that. What sort of blinds are you going for again (we have probably discussed this). We are going for mostly rollers with blockout and sunscreen, panel glides for the sliding doors (not cheap) and timber venetions in the living room. I keep thinking can I justify the money so really want to take DH to the shop so he can get a feel for it all Re: Our House Our Home...15/6 UPDATE..Grout & Electrics!!! 151Jun 15, 2009 9:16 pm sorry guys but the i cant attach the pics i keep getting this warning: Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached. if anyone can help that would be great... Re: Our House Our Home...15/6 UPDATE..Grout & Electrics!!! 152Jun 15, 2009 9:21 pm We also are going rollers with blockout and sunscreen throughout... Just blockouts for the bedrooms then blockout and sunscreen for the living... Re: Our House Our Home...15/6 UPDATE..Grout & Electrics!!! 153Jun 15, 2009 9:27 pm I am not 100% but I think you may have to delete some of your previous pics to fit more on Re: Our House Our Home...15/6 UPDATE..Grout & Electrics!!! 154Jun 15, 2009 9:33 pm yeah i just saw that crissy had the same issue...ok here i go again...
IT WORKED it sucks though as i have seen it with all the lights in these photos just don't do it justice anymore!!! oh well Re: Our House Our Home...21/6 UPDATE..Lots of Stuff!!! 155Jun 21, 2009 9:46 pm Fate turned a nice hand to us again this sunday. We dropped in expecting to be taking pics through glass & plastic when hello we were magically inside of our house... That is all i'll say After the update last week we dropped in that night to find all of our lights, switches, powerpoints everything electrical was done.. this week it was Mirrors.... lots & lots of mirrors...and sinks!!! it is amazing what a difference a mirror makes. The powder room looked a little dull but now...glam... dirty but glam. We also have a garage door... we have not seen it down but we know the colour is right. The walk in pantry is awesome it is the size of the bathroom from our last unit!!! Found a few things we definitely want looked at but overall pretty damn happy especially our ensuite...we loooove it... The mirror is huge!!! cannot wait for the spa and shower screens to be put in. Shouldn't be to long now a few more fittings, carpet, touch ups then a huge site clean up...HURRY UP!!! I am jealous of your pantry. We have had all the shelving done now too and although our pantry is small it is functional (plus we have the storeroom). Dh and I were listing all that is left to do in our build and didn't give mirrors a thought so will add that on. Great photos, always good to get your update Re: Our House Our Home...21/6 UPDATE..Lots of Stuff!!! 160Jun 21, 2009 10:15 pm Thanks MM... it is getting harder to update but i'm doing my best...we love our pantry now all we have to do is fill the bastard I haven't been on the forum for a few days i just saw your pics also and it is looking great also how did you finish up with your blinds?
