I havent seen a home with all bedrooms at the front in a long time, it'll be good in the future when you want to make sure your kids are close to you. Re: L&T's house plans 3Apr 17, 2009 4:32 pm From the plans I can't tell if you have much space on the left hand side of the house to the boundary fence and if you can get to this from the front of the block? I only ask because you are putting in a roller door at the rear of the garage but you will only be able to access that little courtyard area by the looks as the wall of the theatre room seems to also be on the boundary line 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Houses with bedrooms all to the front and a long hallway to liveing areas at the back are quite common here - gives your liveing areas access and vision of back garden. I would actually scrap the rear roller door, although I am a fan of them in general, the main purpose is vehicle access for your back yard , in your case this is irelevant as you wont get a vehicle past the rumpus room boundary wall and you have access via back gates anyway. Re: L&T's house plans 6Apr 17, 2009 6:06 pm Nice use of space.. I hope you are doing timber floors in the living areas.. would look fantastic.. As for the rear roller door.. dont know what benefit it will give, unless you want to store a trailer or boat or something.. in which case its good. -------------------------------------------------------- Building in Highlands Craigieburn Status: Building the Laundryless 25.5: Slab Complete Re: L&T's house plans 7Apr 19, 2009 12:37 am Love the size of your kitchen laurend! Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6882 6 11528 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13746 |
