Still playing with ideas, but quite happy with what we have so far! We have changed the windows from what was in the original plans. What do you reckon about this colour scheme? frontelevation_paint2.JPG I love it! You have great taste!! Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! In response to what everyone is saying about the time it is taking for prestart/building etc - at the very beginning we were informed that the initial process of finance, prestart etc takes about 6 months, and that building takes about 6 months from when the slab goes down. However, I am thinking maybe by time our house starts getting built, things might take a bit longer due to so many houses being sold from FHBG increase. Kara Yes you have hit the nail on the head there! Also they are busy drumming up business while this 1st homeowners bonus is happening. I have had 4 phone calls from salespeople from HBC and we signed up with them a couple of months ago! It is an awfully long time for paperwork as a 2 storey house across the road from my mums went up in 3 months. They got a private builder but the house is huge, they bulldozed the old house and rebuilt so they still had to get fill etc... so there is proof that it shouldn't take a year to build. OMG I'm sick to death of HBC people calling me. I've told them several times we have already chosen a different builder which shuts them up, but they continue to ring me. We just got the plans for prestart and was disgusted to see that we have half a driveway (we must pay extra for the other part) Can other HBC people check their plans and tell me what should be on Sheet 5 of 6 as we don't have it. We have floorplan, internals, elevations, electrical and site survey but not this sheet 5??? In the contract - specifications a number of things are mentioned where it says "see working drawings or addenda" Are the working drawings the prestart ones, and what is the addenda?????
