Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Kirsada's house, WA - New Pics 16/02 941Feb 17, 2010 10:12 am love the pepples looks great, we want to do that at our house before we sell , we think this would be a cheaper alternative to paving. how kgs or tonne or trailer (not sure what they are measured at ) did you need of pebbles and i love pavers do you mind telling me were you got from? thanks Re: Kirsada's house, WA - New Pics 16/02 942Feb 17, 2010 11:01 am Guess what?? I like the side returns too!!! Pretty pretty please can you pm me the cost and name of supplier? We will have about 1.1 m on one side and about 3m on the other. (Might just put a gate on the 3m side though.) At least that will give me a good idea about what I will be up for. Pebbles and pavers are another great (and cheaper) idea too. Nice job. Thank you, thank you. Did you put soft yellow sand and then compacted it before putting the pebbles. We are thinking of doing it ourself. Cheers Tama Re: Kirsada's house, WA - New Pics 16/02 944Feb 18, 2010 8:41 pm Hey Kirsada-LOOKING GREAT!! You must be so pleased! I love the timber enclosing the carport and I also love the path down the side-we are also going to do that!! And i want to know how you did it too! Is that weed mat underneath?? And did you just lay the pavers on top?? Built "The Manor" with Ventura We have an ocean view....IF WE STAND ON OUR TIPPY TOES!! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=24970 Re: Kirsada's house, WA - New Pics 16/02 945Mar 01, 2010 9:32 am Thanks guys! Yes, we are very happy with how everything is looking. Our front garden is growing well, but we have had a couple of plants die already The landscapers have promised to replace them. Our lawn is soooo green and will be having it's first cut today The side pebbles/path was so easy to do. Mr K put some extra sand down first to bring the level up, and compacted it. We bought weed mats from Bunnings, then put the pavers on top and lastly dumped the pebbles. The pavers were $5 something each and we got 30 (to do the side in the photo, back and some of the other side) and the pebbles are Rainbow stone (large) which we got a trailer of for $140 (I think). The trailer load did the side and some of the back! I know, it is definitely a little oasis. We will be moving the plants once we have done the retic and figured out where we want them. I was being lazy by planting them together as it saves lugging the hose around!!!!
