Browse Forums Building A New House Re: frustrations with first home contract. 21May 27, 2009 9:29 pm Yeah, after all the paperwork and decisions, it'll be nice to see some progress. The builder has said that NSW permits were slower than VIC, but I'm not sure where the final delays came from. Albury City approved the plans on Friday last week, and the builder provided a final copy tonight. Re: frustrations with first home contract. 22May 27, 2009 10:06 pm Ours took a bit longer because our site works - needed extra engineering reports - building on a slope. Ours were approved last Thursday - close!!! Let's hope things take off now.......I would really love to move in before Xmas...... Would love to know your colour selections and see your floorplan too Re: frustrations with first home contract. 28Jun 06, 2009 12:22 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Colours are mostly different shades of grey. I chose a cream brick, which wasn't my first choice, but the front will be rendered so I'm not too worried. Inside, I've got a blue splashback and a green feature wall (br1), but otherwise - boring old greys I'm hoping to find a scratch resistant affordable "wooden" laminate floor, but I've had a few issues finding a nice colour that goes with grey. I'll worry about as I get closer to handover. Re: frustrations with first home contract. 29Jun 08, 2009 1:54 pm Looking good YDG, Nice to see that there is some progress...lovely block of land!
