Building rural we need to have at least 60,000 liter Water Tanks.
Does anybody on this Forum have experience with above ground tanks and any information about the costs of these tanks in QLD?
Until so far we have been looking at 3 x 23,000 ltr concrete inground tanks, 3.5 diameter x 2.8 mtrs high, to be situated behind the house and placed in a triangular shape. Price $9,100 for 3 prefabricated tanks, includng GST and Transport.
Concrete Build Onsite tanks (2 x 32,000) came out at $7,000 per tank.
Other Costs for Escavation, base and the necessary additions like pump, pipes, mossie traps and valves will be around $4K.
Our major problem is to get the tanks in the ground because we live on clay and already don't know what to do with mountains of red, yellow and white clay excavated to fit a 5000 ltr Septic tank two months ago. Also the costs to move al this are considerable.
To get an Escavator to the property costs $400 and then $100-125/hour.
While browsing I can't find any prices of the above ground tanks at the moment so any info would be appreciated.
