Hi all, First post here as I have just found this site. Am hoping its not a little to late in the process. After already paying over $5k to other building companies and getting failed promises and no return phone calls we have landed on M3tricons doorstep. We are in Sydney NSW.
Our CSC can be helpful at times and totally unhelpful at other times. We have council approval to build using a Zero Offset. Meaning on one side of the house there will be only .07cm and on the other 1.27m. There is a house next door already built. M3tricon's CSC is stating they do not build on Zero boundary unless they can put scaffolding down the side. Please keep in mind the Zero boundary is only for the garage length of 6meters. Nothing is going ontop of it. We are looking at the Laguna 33.
Their thoughts are to put the house in the middle of the block meaning an offset on the garage side of 60cm and the other 90cm. They then say they will have to charge us an minimum extra $5k as they have to carry the bricks to the back of the house as the sides are not wide enough to fit anything to carry the bricks down.
Why can they not just get the bricks delivered to the back of the house before they poor the concrete or use the rear access to the property?
Many thanks
