Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Expensive house inspectors VS Cheaper inspectors 13Apr 12, 2009 11:26 am Mimi hey Beejay, thanks for the rates of kevins. Are they based on a single story house or double story house? and what do u reckon of urbaninspect..did u get a quote back? Hi Mimi - I haven't heard back from UrbanInspect... but it's the long weekend, so I guess I can let them off for the delay I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from them. Our house is a single story, so I'm not sure if Kevin's rates are only for single or not... You might need to try your hand at tracking him down to find out! Building with PD - Regent 23 in Point Cook WE'RE IN!!! Landscaping! Re: Expensive house inspectors VS Cheaper inspectors 14Jan 17, 2020 9:07 pm Back Pocket We are using Peter from Final-Inpect. We were referred by reading some else's blog. Peter has been great and has already paid for himself according to my DH. We are getting all stages inspected and it's costing less than 1% of the cost of the build. During our lock up stage, Peter spotted some ******* brickwork. We sent PD the report and PD have ripped it down and had it redone to spec. I was a bit concerned that the SS might have a problem, but it's been great. Peter has been great to talk to and has been happy to discuss queries we have had when the SS has said things we were not sure of. ( SS was right, just did not explain it very well). I tried a number of times to call and email Kev because of his reputation on this forum but have never heard from him. luckygrizzly Mimi beejay WeezB Back Pocket - at any time during the whole process with the BI you used, did you have to meet-up with them face to face? My question is should we employ a independent building inspector to come in and… 0 5198 That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I do enjoy watching that tik tok inspector from Victoria but he does go a little… 12 81764 If you are in Victoria you have a statutory right to your own building inspector regardless of builder's consent. No negotiations are required. However the builder will… 1 2857 |
