I assume you are Steve then? Steve and Carolyn Its 340 squares all up, bit of an overkill for 2 people i know by tryin too plan ahead I hope you mean 34 squares . Yea I totally understand. We are building a 36sq home and there will only be two of us. But like you said, planning for the future Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: S.A build...floor plan pics 9Apr 08, 2009 10:20 pm Nice plan Steve, I would have probably given some of the space from the WIP to the linen cupboard however. Just personal preference. Looks from plans WIP is approx 4400 and Linen 1500. Still nice size Linen though. Well done Built 36sq Plantation "Retreat" on 4460m2 at Spring Mountain, Qld In Living and landscaping.. >>> ... http://retreatspring.blogspot.com Re: S.A build...floor plan pics 10Apr 08, 2009 10:32 pm mentioned it to the handbrake but will probably keep it the same as we also have a linen in the bathroom and the laundry too. I think anything that threatens that WIP is gunna lose !!!!, Cheers for the feedback Re: S.A build...floor plan pics 11Apr 08, 2009 10:50 pm ozzroo Nice plan Steve, I would have probably given some of the space from the WIP to the linen cupboard however. Just personal preference. Looks from plans WIP is approx 4400 and Linen 1500. Still nice size Linen though. Well done Love the plan. I agree with the above. If you steal about 500mm from the panty that means the linen shelving can wrap around the three sides (door in the middle) which gives you an extra metre and a half of shelving down what is now the dead side of the linen, and you only lose 50cm of the pantry to get it. If you are planning on kids, you'll want all the storage space you can get. They tend to come with big piles of "stuff". I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Iam pretty sure its part of our encumberance regarding the roof line, something to do with articulation i think Re: S.A build...floor plan pics 15Apr 09, 2009 9:44 am Nice design and good use of space. And I know what your partner means when she says anything that threatens the WIP is not to happen My pantry is 5m long - and it is truly the only thing in the house I am soooooo impatiently waiting to see. Good luck for the coming months and fingers crossed for a speedy build. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: S.A build...floor plan pics 18Apr 11, 2009 10:22 am Thanks guys Jesstib : The plan is roughly based on the spacemaster mk2. When we were looking at designs we seen a Ian wood home with a 2 metre wide hall way with a niche at the end which we really loved, so we changed the spacemaster to accomodate the hall way and everthing else was moved and made bigger to suite. Re: S.A build...floor plan pics 19Jul 15, 2009 10:28 am Hi Steve, I just saw your post on another thread and saw that you are also building with Fairmont, we are building a modified version of the Florence, I'm pretty sure we modelled our laundry on your house, was the display home in Nuriootpa? While all this rain is great for our catchments I wish our bricks were up, we have had no action for about 10 days now! Good luck with your build.
