Re: Building in Lalor - Land Settled !! 45Jun 04, 2009 11:08 am We signed the final drawings yesterday, been told the building permit has been issued and engineering drawings are complete!! Our CSO also told us that a site scrape has been ordered for next week!!!! WOW so soon!!! We couldn't be happier with the progress so far. Re: Building in Lalor - Land Settled !! 46Jun 07, 2009 2:51 pm Hi guys Congrats to all of you who's had their land settled! Anyone here has a spot in Murphy street? We were told that settlement would be around Sep/ Oct09 We bought in Oct08 and yet Dunmore St (Crescent release) which was release in Feb 09 has already settled, according to the posts?? I'm abit perplexed Re: Building in Lalor - Land Settled !! 47Jun 07, 2009 3:58 pm Woo-hoo found our number: 9 Doherty Way Just got our soil test back: came back as P class slab; otherwise known as Problem due to a lot of filling. Our draftperson/engineer has drawn up the proposed lay-out of the slab to work around the P class problem; tryng to not use an enormous amount of concrete and to save on excessive $$$. If you use standard concreting methods on P class, the fill requires deep concreting and that's where the money adds up; but he will put in methods to cut the land in such a way to get us the best result possible. I think others on Doherty will have this issue as all of the blocks have extra fill. Hopefully it all ends up OK!! One on Elizabeth Drive and the other on Suncroft Street. -Another lot is also about to start, which I think is one of the display homes. Eliza Our plans took about 2-3 weeks to get approved by Carlingford, they must have a huge backlog of applications so I wouldn't worry too much Re: Building in Lalor - Land Settled !! 54Jun 11, 2009 9:53 am Hi ken007, we are also building Parkside with S*monds , but I'm in point cook .
