Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in Lalor - Started Bricks 121Sep 16, 2009 10:41 am I was real surprised when l saw them! Carlingford was farmland before it got sold. RE: needle grass letter … I spoke to the guy from the “Department of Primary Industries” and he said everyone should have got the letter. He said he was out at Carlingford earlier this year and said most of Carlingford & Mosaic estates are affected. He said he will back out to the estates soon to check it out again. He also said the soil should stay there and if it is to be removed owners should contact him at the DPI. I think penalties will be occurred if owners/builders don’t follow the procedures, as outlined in the letter. I'm not going to take the risk and will make sure my builder follows correct procedures. Re: Building in Lalor - Land Settled !! 122Sep 27, 2009 11:21 pm Monichi Hi guys Congrats to all of you who's had their land settled! Anyone here has a spot in Murphy street? I'm abit perplexed Hi there Monichi, We have bought on Murphy ours is on Corner ) Who are you going with? Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 124Nov 04, 2009 7:41 pm Hey Ken, it's looking great! With regards to your roller door colour. l recall there only being two wooden look alike colours in the colourbond range? One was more of a burgundy colour. I prefer the colour you chose Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 125Dec 05, 2009 2:42 pm Hi guys, Quick question to you who've had your plans approved by Carlingford design panel. How long did it take you to have your plans approved? Also, if you're using a major builder, i assume they have the task of following it up for you? Did you attach the "Design Standards Application Form" as well? I think my builder just sent the floorplans I'm planning to follow it up myself, as i have a slack coordinator & honestly don't have any patience left in me Thanks Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 127Dec 07, 2009 1:16 pm Monichi Hi guys, Quick question to you who've had your plans approved by Carlingford design panel. Our builder is really good and he did all the chasing up. He attached all the forms, detailed plans etc. If your builder is slack, ring them up Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 128Dec 07, 2009 8:52 pm Hi Julie & Geoff thanks for that. Did you know whether you had to specify your lettebox as well? we didn't know this & it doesn't say in the design booklet i think we just found out that straight from the design panel that they have been trying to get in touch with my builder but had no luck. grrr all these time we kept asking our builder to follow up, they said they will, but i doubt it! what kind of customer service is this? And this is coming from a major builder!! sorry guys, i need to vent big time Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 129Dec 12, 2009 6:46 am Elli; Thanks! I think it might look better once the driveway & landscaping is done.
Monichi; We did not have a letterbox on the plans that Carlingford had approved, it's just something you need to take care of after handover. Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 130Dec 12, 2009 8:50 am I thought the letter box had to be approved with the landscaping plans... Carlingford sent out a checklist just recently. Eliza Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 131Dec 16, 2009 1:06 pm Monichi, our builder put the letter box in. You can vent all you like Did you get onto your builder? Ken, l wrote in the other topic forum about the air con? Any progress? Have they fixed the roller door yet? Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 132Dec 16, 2009 4:29 pm eliza_doolittle I thought the letter box had to be approved with the landscaping plans... Carlingford sent out a checklist just recently. Eliza I just got the checklist from the estate design booklet. Not sure whether the one sent to you is the same or not Julie & Geoff, we drew the letterbox & sent it off straight to the design panel. Within 2 days our plan was approved. It was that easy! I gave my builder a piece of my mind And of course, they had to come with excuses! Re: Building in Lalor - @ lockup fixing 133Dec 17, 2009 10:19 am Congratulations Monichi.
