It`s just old maltese chook farms bought out in the mid 90`s at $1.0 million per acre. That in the 70`s and 80`s was considered to be near worthless farms and bush too far away from the city.
The only thing really magical about it is the profit the developers are making on the land by trickle feeding it to a market in high demand at highly inflated prices.
Unfortunatly it`s a sign of progress and growth in sydney and was bound to happen eventually,given how much open land was available in the north west.
