Have you done the owner builders course, which I know does not give you much guidance, but uts a start. Otherwise there are consultants, web sites and project managers (PM) who could make your journey less stressful. A PM will actually help to organise the tradesmen that you have already chosen and organised and he would act as a site supervisor to make sure quality and speed of contractors. (In regional Victoria) I've read a lot of posts on this site and have learned a bit already. Mind you, half the time I'm trying to work out what various acronyms stand for. It's got everything - Building Contract Information, Design Principles, Council Requirements, Workmanship Standards and good building practices. Some of it is commonsense, but it's got a lot of great info.
