We did one for the pre-handover. When we told our CSO we will be getting one, she said its not worth them both doing it at the same time. So we took that to mean...our guy will go through, and then their guy will go through with us to make sure everything was picked up and to discuss the things that were listed. BUT boy were we wrong!!
We have just been informed that our guy was the PCI...there is no other inspection, they expected us to just go and hand-over the money, and collect the keys all without knowing if the items listed were fixed or not.
So to say we are disappointed is an understatement...more like ! None of this was explained to us at all, she also said nothing else can be added to the list... pity the roller door wasn't installed before hand, we couldnt get it to work yesterday. Even our Ind. Insp. made it sound like we should be having another inspection done with the builders, he told us to take the list, light bulbs to make sure all the lights worked and something electrical to check all the points. Otherwise we would have to wait until our 3-4 month check.
We have rerung our CSO and let her know about the lights (mainly the theatre), she informed us, not so nicely, that we didnt put measurements on the plan....ummmm our pre-start lady said they didnt need them, the electricians would work out the measurements according to the plan, and where we placed them. Anyway we said we want to go through the stuff with our SS, she seemed p***ed off that we would even suggest it.
Anyways we now have an appointment for this Friday at 8am with SS at the house.
Our CSO has just soured what was a fairly pleasant build, although I would still recommend the builders I certainly wont be recommending, (or giving good feedback) on our CSO.
