DH is tired of following up and really doesnt care as long as the work is being done and we dont have to pay Basically, all we have paid uptill now is $1500 deposit. I thought you need to pay 5% before the site start... Their admin and finance department must be really mess at a moment. it is good that you don't need to pay and things still moving, but i would say that better to get the permit and building insurance, you don't want to be told later on that the house is not approved or it is not insured, these would be the last thing you want to hear and it won't be nice.. YAY!! It will be difficult to wait till saturday to see it... but unfortunately will have to. We also got the soil test, permits, final pland and insurance papers in mail yesterday ... which means we now need to pay the deposit. Our CSO called to inform us that the roof tiles we chose (barramundi Tudor) are being delayed and sent us a variation to change to Barramundi Traditional. Not sure how it will look .... might search the forum for pics... has anyone used Barramundi Traditional and if yes... could you please psot pics?? Land Settled 27/04/09. Site Started 30/4/09. Are your roof tiles monier ??.. i looked at their website and traditional profile looks very different. Heres the link http://www.monier.com.au/SelectTile/default.aspx Urs looks similar to Elabana profile in Monier. I am not sure if moniers range is different. I also live about 45km away from our land, and only get a chance to pop by over the weekends, it can be frustrating. I dont have a slab yet, but hoping there will be one by the end of next week. I was having a blonde moment and getting confused because we have a traditional facade (I'll take my pics down now ) I checked out that traditional tile on the website and it looks really good, in fact I prefer it to the tudor profile.
