I'm off to a tiles place tomorrow for a chat. I was hoping for about 8.5k. Would have copped 10k. But 13k is just... wow! There's two things I've found ridiculous... this and the sarking. Which was double everyone else. Thanks for the constructive comments. Wasn't really a whinge was more a . Thanks! iTalk, your collating of information is fantastic. I've checked your spreadsheets before. If you could PM me that would be great! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I was shocked by ours too....especially for something so p!$$ easy to put up. 5.5k. M3tricon was just over 2k for a bigger house. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I mainly want it for bushfire protection even though it's not mandatory. I'd hate to think they're taking advantage of the fact people building in my area will want it as a priority. The Kilmore East fire came very close to Wallan and Wandong is in efectt he next town over. That's the cynic in me talking, but I'd be absolutely appalled if that's the case. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Re: PD tiles appointment has left me shellshocked. 32Mar 26, 2009 7:45 pm Ari, nope exactly the same. Hmmm, I'll get it but I'll be discussing the cost. kek, it's over 100msq. I'm still to be honest. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: PD tiles appointment has left me shellshocked. 33Mar 26, 2009 7:46 pm joles Sorry, I'm just shocked by another post. As for the tiles....sigh....it kind of doesn't surprise me I don't know what to say...I'm guessing it would be a PITA to leave it till after h/over...? Re: PD tiles appointment has left me shellshocked. 35Mar 26, 2009 7:55 pm Well hopefully you'll get a cheaper quote from another tile place and find a tile similar to what you picked out from NT. Which house are you building? Happy at Home Re: PD tiles appointment has left me shellshocked. 36Mar 26, 2009 7:57 pm It's really disappointing JO isn't it. We pay a fortune for the house and then get ripped for a minor change (sorry, upgrade)! Annie A thankful person is a happy person. I'd be inclined to get another quote, I'd also be interested to hear what it is. PD were quoting us around $25k for timber floors - I have had quotes of around $15k so I'm sure you will save quite a bit getting it done elsewhere My karma ran over your dogma Re: PD tiles appointment has left me shellshocked. 39Mar 26, 2009 8:03 pm Here is the "offending" tile..... bottom left.
