Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 17, 2007 5:09 pm Hi,
I have decided I would like to split my block of land in 2 and demolish the existing home and build 2 new ones. The block is about 900m2 The problem is I have no idea where to start or if I would even be allowed to do this. Has anyone got experience subdividing? Is that the right term to use? Anyone know any builders / kit home companies that do this sort of thing? Look forward to hearing from anyone. First Timer Re: Subdividing and building 2Mar 17, 2007 9:47 pm Hi First Timer - I'm no expert in this area, however your first step would be your local council. You will need planning permission from them in order to subdivide.
I'm sure others here can add more in terms of next steps, but it would be a good place to start! Thanks for the advice. I will head off to the local council on Monday morning to see what's involved. Subdivision 4Mar 21, 2007 9:59 am Hi first timer,
